RFPA $howing You the $$$

  • From 2014-2020, RFPA raised $300,000 +/-, to build the new courts (that’s another story), other than that expense - RFPA doesn’t spend much.

  • In 2021, RFPA spent $4,250 on such exciting things as insurance, tournament expenses (actually netted a small profit), court supplies, fees, etc.

  • Year to date thru June 2022, we’ve spent just over $2,000 on pretty boring stuff.

  • Our bank account has about $27,400 and we have $12,500 in IOUs from naming sponsors. Net, we’re in pretty good shape financially.

    What’s coming down the road?

  • Cement is supposed to have a 50-year life expectancy. Fencing and nets are much less but we should be ok for the foreseeable future. PAINT ??? Depending on wear, tear, and whether we’re looking at 5-8 years before repainting is needed… and we’re already 2+ years into it. In today’s dollars, think $30,000 to repaint the courts.

How does RFPA put on such a good show spending so little money ???

  • Simple. VOLUNTEERS!!! From the beginning of 2014, RFPA has been built by volunteers who love the sport enough to donate their time, talent, and treasure to get us where we are today. There are way too many to post an Honor Roll; it’s all been done for the love of the game and the RFPA community.

  • RFPA membership is open to anyone, as is volunteering. With 300 members now, we’re experiencing growing pains. We must evolve from an expectation that our hard-working Board Presidents will do everything. You can wait for a specific request for help or email jepnoyes@gmail.com advising how you think you could best be helpful.

    Blue sky?

  • We’d all love to have more new courts. Parks & Rec property is scarce; there are others who want to use it, too. Lights? Probably not. Covered? Don’t hold your breath. Right now we have the best courts for miles around and we can focus on being the best club, too….sportsmanship, courtesy, and volunteerism.
